Memorial Day Weekend

We had a very busy Memorial Day weekend. Saturday, we went to Terrell to Abe's father's retirement party. We saw family we have not seen in ages. Here is Fermin (aka Grandpa) with his Mama and his sisters.

Awww....I like this picture. I look so pale next to Abe and Dylan. I may need to make a trip to the tanning salon.

Sunday, we went out to the lake for the first time this summer. Dylan was scared at first but eventually decided she like being on the boat. She really enjoyed fishing with her Daddy. The water was still really cold, so we didn't do any swimming.

More Memorial Day fun, playing outside, blowing bubbles.
I just love her "cheese" smile.

Movie Date

Woo Hoo! I cannot wait until Friday. I have a movie date with my two best friends, Edie and Tobi, to go and see Sex and the City. We are meeting at a Studio Movie Grill after work! Hmmmm....I wonder if they serve Cosmos there?

Dylan's 2nd Birthday Party

We had Dylan's Birthday party last weekend at our house. We had a good number of family and friends over for the festivities. Mario cooked some excellent marinated fajita meat out on the grill that went along nicely with rice and beans, complements of Connie. To complete our meal we had watermelon and, of course, Birthday cake. Oh and I don't want to forget beer and margaritas (water and juice for those under 21).

Whitney planting her flower. All the kids decorated their pot with stickers and planted a flower. They had a fun time doing it. Some of them didn't want to get their hands dirty, including Dylan!

Intro.....

I have been thinking for a while about creating a blog so I have decided to jump on the bandwagon and do it! It is just a fun way for family and friends to keep up with what is going on in our lives. Others may not find what I have to say interesting but hopefully will enjoy the pictures I post!

My life revolves around my family, especially Dylan. Having a 2 year old is so much fun. I never know what to expect next. Don't get me wrong, being a parent is not an easy task. It can be very trying and exhausting at times but is so worth it. I feel so blessed to have her in my life. She is amazing.
